Steven Hulbert
Steven lives with his family on Burgess Road in Bassett Ward. He has lived in Southampton for over 15 years and in Bassett for more than 10.
He has recently launched his own consultancy business after working in the insurance industry.
He is an active member of the Bassett FOCUS Team, a member of the St Vincent de Paul congregation and Vice-Chair of his children's school's parents association.
He is particularly interested in education, health and employment policies.
Paul Clarke
Paul Clarke, graduated from Nottingham University in 2005 and completed post graduate teacher training at Southampton in 2009. And he now lives in Southampton.
His political interests include youth & student issues, transport and environment, voting system reform, foreign affairs and policy development.
His hobbies include playing board games with friends.
Ward Information
Bassett is the most northern ward in Southampton, bounded by Swaythling to the east, Coxford to the west and has a population of around 13,340. It is a northern gateway and main route into Southampton via the M3 and A33 and is an area of contrasts.
The west of Bassett Avenue/ The Avenue is dotted with semi-detached and detached private housing as well as a golf course and the Sports Centre. To the east is terraced housing inhabited by long-standing close-knit communities such as on the Flower Estate.
