Peter Galton
Peter Galton lives locally with his wife Karen and three grown-up children.
Peter previously represented Coxford ward for sixteen years. He works locally in retail.
Peter's main interest as a councillor has been licensing. He has also served on housing and leisure.
As the founder-editor of Coxford Focus, he has campaigned for many years for improvements to the local area, among the most important being securing the future of Lordshill Community Centre.
Peter is a keen Saints supporter and an active member of Southampton City Petanque Club, where he has helped junior members win titles at national level.

Ward Information
Coxford ward is in the north of the city and has a population of around 13,900. Neighbouring wards are Bassett, Redbridge and Shirley.
The area is mostly made up of estates with gardens and green space. Lordsdale Greenway runs through Coxford Ward and continues into the neighbouring district council of Test Valley.
Within the ward is a large shopping area, known as Lordshill district centre which has shops, a bingo hall, library, housing office and medical centre.
