Paul Abbott
Paul Abbott grew up in Lancashire but still made it to Cambridge University to study physics. After his PhD in London he followed his interest in green energy and moved to Germany to work on solar power.
He has lived in Southampton for several years where he works as a research scientist. His interests include films and most sports. He believes the environment to be the most important issue facing us today.
If elected he is determined to keep in touch with residents, ensuring that the Council is accountable and transparent in its workings.
Freemantle Focus
Ward Information
Freemantle ward is in the west of the city with the docks to the south and has a population of about 14,100. Neighbouring wards are Bevois, Bargate, Shirley and Millbrook. Houses in the ward are made up of late Victorian and early 20th century builds, mostly being terraced housing or flats with gardens.
Freemantle is home to Freemantle community centre which is currently being extended and modernised to accommodate Adults with Learning Disabilities.
