Simon lives in Redbridge, and has been working hard for the area. The work he has been doing includes:
- Having dangerous potholes fixed, and some roads resurfaced
- Working to get more parking for residents
- Collecting signatures against the fluoridation of Southampton's tap water
- Campaigning against the closure of Millbrook Library
- Campaigning against the proposed Biomass plant.
Simon attended the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he earned a Distinction in his Masters degree. Whilst there he also found time to chair the Liberal Democrat student group, and in 2005 helped lead the student campaign in Ceredigion that saw Mark Williams elected to Parliament, overturning a Plaid Cymru majority of nearly 4000.
Some of the issues that are of particular interest are the environment, sustainable energy, education, civil liberties and public transport.
In his free time, Simon is a keen gardener, and also enjoys watching films.
