Colin Bleach
Colin has experience as a councillor in the north, where as Chair of a Community Partnership he set up local 'township committees', before moving back to Southampton.
He is an active campaigner with the Itchen Liberal Democrat team.
He has special interests in finance, industrial relations and in involving local people in the decisions which affect their neighbourhoods.
Colin lives in Woolston and works locally as a Funeral Manager. He is a member of Amnesty International.
Woolston Focus
Ward Information
Woolston ward forms the southern edge of Southampton, and contains the community of Weston with Weston Shore to the south. It has a population of around 13,600 and neighbouring wards are Peartree and Sholing. The ward has many terraced houses as well as tower blocks. The centre of Woolston has a variety of local shops and the Millennium garden. In the south of Woolston is the wildlife haven known locally as Jurds Lake which leads up to Archery Recreation ground and then on to Mayfield Park. Weston shore itself has a pitch and putt golf course, a play park and large open green areas which attract people from all areas.
