The City Council has to save £76 millions over four years, with a target for 2012-2013 of £22M. Though the Lib Dems will give top priority to achieving efficiency savings, inevitably this will mean service cuts and redundancies. The Conservatives' draft Budget includes severe cuts in Adult Social Care, Housing and Neighbourhoods and Communities and would cut over 200 jobs.
The Liberal Democrat Group, whilst seeking efficiency savings first in preparing our budget proposals, would like to know about your priorities and would be most grateful for your views.
