Bassett voters from all parties are backing the local Liberal Democrats' Richard Blackman to stop the Conservatives in the ward.

Richard Blackman, Burgess Road libraryThis year voters from across the political spectrum are getting behind the local Liberal Democrat team as the only chance to stop the Conservatives in Bassett.

Only the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats have ever won a Bassett council seat.

Locally voters know it's a choice between fresh ideas and energy with Richard Blackman, or four more years of the same old with the Conservatives.

Richard says:

"I believe that a councillor's job involves listening just as much as it involves doing. I want to make sure all can be heard.

"My promise to you is that if I am elected, I will aim to speak to every household in the ward over the four years of the term."

A vote for the Liberal Democrats means a local champion for our area and no more rewards for Conservative complacency.
