Benjamin Curd

Ben Curd

Benjamin is a Contracts Supervisor and Part-Time Student at Solent University studying towards a degree in Construction Management. He lives in the city centre and so understands local concerns.

Benjamin says: "I grew up just outside of Southampton, much of my youth was spent in the City before finally moving here a few years ago. We have much to be proud of, but every community has its own unique set of challenges. I see a lot of posturing from some, but not a great deal of action in regards to overcoming these challenges.

"I would like to see that situation change and am therefore delighted to be selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate in Bargate".

Benjamin's political campaigning has been driven by his resolve to listen to local residents, understand their concerns and seek solutions. Amongst other priorities he would like to see much more done to tackle issues involving homelessness and substance misuse within the City.

His personal interests include the theatre, the outdoors and of course politics.
