Ward Spokesperson

Samuel Harris

Sam Harris

Samuel is a full time mature student that works part time as a delivery driver for a local book wholesaler. He is a qualified electrician and plumber and worked in the construction industry before starting university to do a masters degree in electrical engineering.

He spent his first 10 years of life in Warsash before moving to Somerset and the midlands before finally returning to Southampton to study at the University of Southampton.

Samuel says "I first joined the Liberal Democrats in 2015. At the end of the coalition government I saw how much they managed to do to curb the Tory's, promote mental health and spread equal rights for the LGBT+ community of which I'm a member. One of my proudest moments is making a speech to the Liberal Democrat party conference. I want to continue this good work by representing you, standing up for you, and learning what you have to say and how you feel."

In Samuel's spare time he enjoys watersports, building human powered submarines, and riding his motorbike. He also enjoys working with others in a political environment having been the treasurer and is now the policy and campaigns officer for the Southampton University Liberal Democrats.
