Building Momentum: Election Results and the Road Ahead

I'm writing to share the recent general election results which, whilst nationally were spectacular for the Liberal Democrats, locally we fell just over 2,000 votes short of winning here.

Our candidate, Geoff Cooper, solidified our place as the main opposition to the Conservatives. Nationally, the Liberal Democrat campaign has also seen progress, gaining new supporters and increasing our vote share, winning an impressive 72 seats including in Winchester and Eastleigh. This shows our message is gaining traction across the country.

The Conservative vote share dropped significantly, indicating a shift in voter sentiment and providing us with a strong foundation to build upon.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, volunteered, and believed in our campaign. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. We remain focused on addressing the issues that matter most to you, including the NHS, social care, and cleaning up our rivers.
